Bringing Power to Life
With over 15 years of experience in the design, manufacture, and test of various electronic systems, Apparent Technologies' founder, Tyler Dawbin, then moved into a role with a focus on supporting customers in applying control and measurement technologies to a variety of industries. With his years of experience in electrical systems engineering, those military, commercial, and research customers were able to utilize these control systems for their needs in space launch systems, aircraft, ground vehicles, simulators, and DOD/DOE laboratories. His focus then turned to selling into and managing accounts for primarily military customers with needs for rugged uninterruptible power supplies. After a family decision to relocate to Louisiana, Dawbin turned to the supply and maintenance of standby generator systems, a crucial need in a hurricane prone state that has been in the path of several recent Category 3 and Category 4 hurricanes. Selling commercial, industrial, residential, and critical infrastructure standby generators throughout the state of Louisiana has been both challenging and very rewarding, especially when customers report the peace of mind they experienced when they no longer had to worry about when the utility power would be restored. Bringing power to life with residential standby generators has provided many Louisianans with comfort during challenging moments.

Degrees and Experience
A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with minors in Management and Human Factors may not mean much after spending 25 years in the real world, but that college experience formed the building blocks for years of learning. Working in a variety of industries, including medical, pulp & paper, commercial and military products manufacturing, and industrial, commercial, and residential power systems has allowed us to see technologies and people come together around the world to solve many different challenging problems.
